I was incredibly nervous prior to the surgery and he was very reassurring. Dr Uncles clearly explained the process and put me at ease. Post operatively i had very little pain and felt very well looked after.

Total proffessionalism left me in no doubt that I had nothing to worry about with the procedure. I was left to actually enjoy the whole experience. Not that this is how I chose to spend my time off but with all worries and doubts taken out of the way its so much more liveable.

Dr Uncles was very friendly and approachable from the first time I met him, explained what was going to happen and his role in the surgery, he was very informative and happy to answer any question I had. Dr Uncles chatted to me while he was prepping me for the anaesthesia and explained exactly what he was doing and what I would feel next. It made me feel very comfortable going in.

Quiet calm explanation of procedure before going to theatre. Waiting in theatre ante- room Dr Uncles reassured me. After recovery no disturbing effects. Imagine the correct 'dose' of anaesthetic was administered. Also on returning home no feeling of nausea. For me, the experience was much better than I had supposed. I don't think I can suggest any else Dr Uncles could have done to improve his care. Mine went like 'clockwork'.

Profile

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
